For a brief moment I feel disillusioned – dizzy, disoriented.
That blow was hard! Much harder than I had anticipated it would be.
The resistance is real. Every time I step out it steps up.
I stop, I breathe, then I remember.
I remember the pushback does not know what I know.
It does not know that its presence tells me I am heading the right direction.
The pushback reminds me that I do not need to do it on my own.
There is a God who has my back – He is my rear guard.
The same God who has gone before me.
He is with me always.
He does not change. Yesterday, today and tomorrow.
The pushback reminds me that I am ineffective without Him.
When I am weak He is strong. Much stronger than me.
The pushback reminds me how far I have come.
To build muscle you must tear muscle.
No, the pushback does not break me, it reminds me who my God is.
The pushback reminds me whose I am.
Oh pushback, poor pushback.
You pushed the wrong girl!
